This watch was given to me as a gift, it had an immediate effect, as did the situation and memory of those who passed it to me. Just the gifting of this watch to someone and explaining its meaning is a gift in itself.
I don't take it off and if I do it stays close, the constant moving hands on the face of the clock remind me of the constant presence of God through the ups and downs of life.
I work outdoors on big machinery in all weather. I like to wear a watch, and I have damaged some pretty robust watches in the past. This watch is unbelievably tough and still looks as good as new. My work buddies have commented on it being too good to be put at risk at work, but they can see it means more to me than just telling the time.
